Father accused of driving drunk with 3 kids in the car faces felony charges
A father accused of driving drunk with his three children in the vehicle is facing a felony charge resulting from a fatal crash.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jeffrey Martin of Lakeville was charged Monday with criminal vehicular homicide in the death of 88-year-old Everett Letterly of Prior Lake.
Martin was earlier charged with drunken driving and child endangerment. Authorities say Martin's children - ages 4, 9 and 10 - were in the SUV when it collided with a vehicle driven by Letterly's wife at an intersection in Lakeville on Christmas Eve.
Martin's public defender, Warren Kochis, did not immediately return a call Tuesday seeking comment.
