Two killed in house fire near Roseau

The Roseau County sheriff says two people are dead after a home west of Roseau was destroyed by a fire.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that the Roseau Fire Department responded about 10:30 Monday morning to a report of a home engulfed in flames. The bodies were found after the fire was extinguished.

The names of the victims have not been released. The fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal and the sheriff's department.

It's the second time two people were killed in a house fire in the state in the last 24 hours. Two people were killed in a New Ulm house fire Sunday evening.
