Family of crash victims pursue lawsuit
The family of three people killed in a St. Paul crash in 2006 have hired attorneys to pursue a lawsuit against the Toyota Motor Corp.
Attorney Michael Padden says "you don't need to be a rocket scientist" to figure out the crash involved sudden acceleration.
Javis Adams, his 10-year-old son, Javis Jr., and his 7-year-old niece Devyn Bolton were killed when a Toyota Camry flew off an Interstate 94 off-ramp and crashed into their car. Two other family members were injured.
The driver of the Camry, Koua Fong Lee, was convicted of criminal vehicular homicide and sentenced to eight years in prison.

Padden tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press says he will work with Texas lawyer Robert Hilliard, who has filed lawsuits on behalf of Toyota owners in that state.
