17-year-old girl killed in Minneapolis shooting

A 17-year-old girl has been shot and killed outside a party in Minneapolis.

The shooting happened just before midnight on Friday, and authorities say they have no suspects in custody at the time.

Minneapolis police spokesman Sgt. William Palmer said Saturday morning that there were a large number of people at the party. Dozens had spilled out into the street when authorities arrived.

He also couldn't say whether investigators have identified any suspects in the case, but the shooting becomes the 10th homicide this year after just 19 in 2009.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
