Shooting on Metro bus leaves two boys wounded

Two boys are recovering after being shot on a Metro Transit bus in north Minneapolis.

Spokesman Bob Gibbons of Metro Transit says at least six shots were fired aboard the bus around 10:35 p.m. Saturday.

The two wounded boys, both juveniles, were taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Their injuries are described as non-life-threatening.

Gibbons says there were about a dozen people on the bus.

Investigators are still trying to sort out what may have prompted the shooting. Passengers and the bus driver were being interviewed Sunday morning. Transit police also are reviewing surveillance video from the bus camera.
