Police seek help in finding firefighter's killer

New Brighton police are asking for the public's help in solving the murder of a retired firefighter.

Seventy-year-old Lee Allen Goodwin was found dead at the bottom of a flight of basement steps last January. Police suspect someone broke into Goodwin's home to rob him and ended up killing him. His wallet was later found in a trash bin about a mile from his house.

Police Chief Bob Jacobson tells KSTP-TV that Crime Stoppers has a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
