2-year-old boy dies in St. Paul house fire

A two-year-old boy has died in a house fire in St. Paul.

Fire chief Tim Butler says a four-year-old boy and a man in his 20s escaped by jumping out second-story windows. They were taken to Regions Hospital with injuries from the jump and treated for smoke inhalation.

Butler says the child who died was found on the second floor of the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The names of those involved have not been released.
