Uncle arrested in fatal St. Paul fire

St. Paul police have arrested an uncle of the victim in a fire that killed a 2-year-old boy.

Police say the 27-year-old was booked Thursday night pending possible homicide and arson charges.

Thursday's fire killed 2-year-old Amir Coleman. He was discovered on the second floor of the burned-out home and pronounced dead at the scene.

Fire Marshal Steve Zaccard says there's evidence an accelerant may have been used. He says evidence collected by investigators, including a gas container, has been sent to the crime lab for analysis. Results should come back within a week.

Two other victims, a 4-year-old child and a male in his 20s, had to be hospitalized after they jumped out of second story windows to escape the raging fire.
