The Stillwater Lift Bridge is scheduled to reopen around midnight as the St. Croix River continues to fall.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says it will reopen the bridge by 12:01 a.m. Saturday. The bridge had been closed since Tuesday because of high water and ice on the river, which forms part of the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Elsewhere in Minnesota, the U.S. Highway 10 bridge over the Mississippi River north of Little Falls reopened to traffic Friday evening, though some ramps remain closed.

The bridge had been closed to traffic since March 17 due to damage from an ice jam and erosion. Emergency repair work began last Saturday.
