A Minnesota man has been charged in the shooting death of his ex-wife, who was apparently shot with her three small children in her car.
Blue Earth County prosecutors charged 33-year-old Joel Marvin Munt with one count of second-degree murder on Tuesday in death of his ex-wife, Svetlana Munt.
The charges allege that on Sunday Munt rammed his SUV into his ex-wife's car in a city park then shot her several times through the car window, spraying glass into the face of one child.
Munt then allegedly stole an SUV from a couple who came to help, taking the three children with him.
Police say Munt eventually surrendered peacefully. As deputies were trying to calm the children, one reportedly said, "Daddy killed mommy."
