Minn. woman sentenced for 'sexting'

A 33-year-old Cass Lake woman has been put on probation in a "sexting" case.

Prosecutors say Maria Kremper was sentenced last month after she sent about 1,600 sexually explicit text messages to a 15-year-old boy last August.

Kremper was sentenced to 15 months in prison, which was stayed while she serves three years of supervised probation. She also was sentenced to 60 days in jail, which can be served on home electronic monitoring.

Kremper also must complete a sex offender treatment program and register as a predatory offender. And she is to have no contact with males under the age of 18.

Cass County Attorney Christopher Strandlie says Kremper knew the boy from a grocery store where the two used to work together.
