Weird Al, Rush to rock Minnesota State Fair

"Weird Al" Yankovic and hard rock band Rush are the first two acts named to play the Grandstand at the Minnesota State Fair this summer.

Yankovic is the pop satirist who's inspired generations of adolescents with parody classics like "Eat It" and "Like a Surgeon." He'll play the Grandstand on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at a cost of $22 per ticket.

Canadian progressive rockers Rush have been an FM radio staple since the late 1970s with hits like "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight." Their show is Friday, Aug. 27, with tickets ranging from $40, $60 and $70.

More artists playing the fair will be announced over the next few months. The 2010 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 26 through Labor Day, Sept. 6.
