The Guthrie Theater's production of five short Tony Kushner plays will be staged at London's Tricycle Theatre in September.
The Guthrie debuted the so-called "Tiny Kushner" production last year in conjunction with its premiere of a new Kushner play. The short plays earned warm reviews from critics including Variety, which called it a "slam-bang series." They were later re-staged to further critical acclaim at Berkeley Rep in California.
The London staging will feature the same director as well as four longtime Guthrie actors in multiple roles. Guthrie Theater Director Joe Dowling says the continued success of the production shows the Guthrie is becoming a birthplace for exciting new theatrical productions.
