Tuesday is Agriculture Awareness Day at U of M

Tuesday is Agriculture Awareness Day on the University of Minnesota's Minneapolis campus.

Agricultural education students will be spreading the word that American agriculture is responsible for providing the necessities of everyday life: food, fiber, clothing and even fuel.

Producers, agricultural associations, corporations, government agencies and university students will gather to share the story of agriculture with university students, faculty and staff.

The activities will center on Northrop Plaza on the East Bank campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. People will have the chance to see cows, pigs, chickens, turkey and sheep, and visit interactive booths.
