Southern MN man accused of stabbing 29 pigs

A 23-year-old southern Minnesota man faces burglary, cruelty to animals and other charges after he allegedly entered a barn south of Truman and stabbed 29 pigs.

All of the pigs had to be euthanized.

The Sentinel of Fairmont reports Tuesday that Curtis Lee Adams of Winnebago has been charged in last week's incident at the Wiechman Pigs hog barn.

Authorities say Adams was drunk when he was found in the barn early April 27, and had blood on his knuckles and smelled of pigs and pig manure. Adams allegedly told authorities he didn't remember anything, and that he had been drinking at a bar and slept in his truck, then remembered talking to police.
