Structural deficit big despite new budget

The Minnesota state budget is balanced, for now. The Legislature passed a budget yesterday that solves a $3 billion shortfall. But when lawmakers return to the capitol next year, they're expected to face a deficit nearly twice that size.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with John Gunyou who served as state finance commissioner in the 1990s.
