The war of words between Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Education Minnesota, the state's teachers union, over "Race to the Top" funding has been fierce.

Today the president of the American Federation of Teachers is in Minnesota. With more than 1.4 million members, the AFT is the second largest national teachers union. And, Education Minnesota is one of its member organizations.

AFT President Randi Weingarten joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann in the studio for more reaction to the governor's decision, and the state of teacher's unions today.
