Northrop Grumman opening Grand Forks office

Northrop Grumman Corp. says it's opening an office in Grand Forks to provide support for unmanned aircraft.

The Grand Forks Air Force Base is using Northrop's Global Hawk, a high-altitude surveillance drone.

Northrop, based in Los Angeles, says it will present a $50,000 grant on Friday to the University of North Dakota's John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences for its work on unmanned aircraft.
