Arrest made in shooting of 16-year-old in Minneapolis

Police on Tuesday arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in south Minneapolis.

Andrew Battees was found on June 13 in the front yard of a home with a gunshot wound. He later died.

Minneapolis police said the New Brighton Police Department was able to arrest the suspect Tuesday afternoon in New Brighton. He is being held in the Hennepin County jail but has not yet been formally charged.

Battees' death was among the three homicides Minneapolis saw in a four-day period earlier this month.
