Duluth group home resident arrested in staffer attack
A 20-year-old resident of a Duluth group home was jailed after authorities say he attacked a female staff member.
The St. Louis County sheriff's office says the suspect was one of two clients left with a female adult staff member when another staff member took other clients to a group function.
The man is accused of striking the 21-year-old woman with a frying pan Monday, then forcing her into his bedroom at gunpoint. The gun turned out to be a replica handgun.
The woman believed she was going to be sexually assaulted and fought with the man, eventually escaping to a neighbor's home to call police. She was treated and released from a hospital.
