Recovered video clip cracks Minn. assault case
Images recovered from a deleted file on a cell phone have led to the arrest of two people suspected of assault in Sherburne County.
WJON-AM reports the story began March 17 when deputies were called to the public access to Little Elk Lake about a woman who was beaten with brass knuckles.
During the investigation, authorities determined a cell phone with a video camera had recorded the attack, but the file had been deleted.
A county forensic investigator was able to recover parts of the video, which was then sent to the U.S. Secret Service which restored the entire deleted file.
