Police arrest man in fatal Minneapolis shooting case

Minneapolis police arrested a man Tuesday morning in connection with Sunday's fatal shooting at Old Colony gas station.

The July 25 shooting killed one man and injured two others. Police say they arrested the 21-year-old man in Minneapolis early this morning.

Police arrived at the gas station at 1624 Washington Avenue North at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, after receiving a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found three men who had been shot.

Emergency responders transported the victims to Hennepin County Medical Center, where one man died, and another was admitted with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The third victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect is being held at Hennepin County Jail pending criminal charges.
