Man shot and killed in Minneapolis Phillips neighborhood

A man suffered a gunshot wound and died in a shooting Wednesday night in the Phillips neighborhood, Minneapolis police said.

Police were called to the 2900 block of Fifth Avenue South at about 9:10 p.m. They found the man with a wound on the boulevard, but he died shortly after rescue workers arrived.

Police have not arrested anyone in the incident and continue to investigate. It isn't yet clear what led up to the shooting.
