Northstar rail service for Twins games extended

Metro Transit said Thursday it will make the Northstar commuter rail available during most Twins games in September and October.

Northstar has been available for games on weekday evening and weekends for fans in the northwestern Twin Cities suburbs. That was slated to end at the end of August, but Metro Transit said it will extend the popular service.

The Northstar rail will be available for fans attending all but the Sept. 22 game against Cleveland, which is a noon start.

The Twins finish their regular season on Oct. 3 against Toronto.

Details about the special Northstar service for Twins games is available here.
