Winona State student's body found at base of cliff

Authorities say the body of a Winona State University student has been found at the base of a cliff in western Wisconsin.

Winona Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams says the family of the 18-year-old student contacted authorities who searched in the Sugar Loaf area Sunday afternoon.

KAGE reports the teen's body was found Sunday night by Buffalo County sheriff's officials after a trace was done on his cell phone.

The university says Jasper Youngren of Carlton, Minn. died from injuries sustained in a fall.
