Missing man's van turns up in Chicago

Authorities say they've found a minivan belonging to a missing Twin Cities man in Chicago.

The family of Matthew William Anderson, 29, reported him missing Friday. His wife told police he'd called her and said he'd been abducted by two men and believed he was in Iowa.

Authorities traced his cell phone and believe the call had been placed near the Wisconsin Dells. Police in Minnesota issued a nationwide missing person alert.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's office now says authorities in Illinois found Anderson's 2001 Pontiac Montana minivan in downtown Chicago. They said it appeared to be in good condition, but that investigators were still looking for Anderson and were asking for help from the public.

Anderson lives in Shoreview, but works at the Rosewood Village Apartments in Roseville. He was last seen there about 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
