Vikings Purple Planet Week is back

The Minnesota Vikings want people to think "green" during the second annual Planet Purple Week.

Planet Purple Week runs from Monday through Sunday and is aimed at raising environmental awareness.

The Vikings are teaming up with Xcel Energy for a series of community events.

On Tuesday, Vikings players, cheerleaders and Viktor the Viking will accompany Xcel Energy officials on a trip to improve energy efficiency in a St. Paul neighborhood.
