Reprimanded psychiatrist still practicing in Rochester

A former Duluth psychiatrist whose license was suspended for misusing prescription drugs says he's still practicing in Rochester.

A license suspension for Dr. Stanislav Kruglikov is on hold as long as he complies with treatment conditions ordered by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. His license was suspended Sept. 11 for unauthorized use of a prescription drug. Kruglikov says he took prescription drugs he got from a friend to treat a panic attack.

Kruglikov tells the Duluth News Tribune he remains under contract with Olmsted County's mental health center and is still practicing. Olmsted County records show it paid Kruglikov about $133,000 in 2009 for his services. The 50-year-old Kruglikov has twice been reprimanded by the state medical board in the past for alcohol abuse.
