St. Cloud police name 2 cops involved in shooting

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continues to investigate an officer-involved shooting in St. Cloud.

St. Cloud police on Tuesday identified the officers as Sgt. Michael Koeniguer and Officer Eric Jensen.

Police say the two officers exchanged fire Sunday night with a 21-year-old St. Cloud man. Sgt. Marty Sayre says investigators believe he held a woman and her son captive for seven hours in Waite Park on Saturday.

The St. Cloud Times reports the two officers have been put on administrative leave, which is routine for officer-involved shootings.
