Two people who died in a crash Saturday were deliberately run down in the street, according to charges filed in Minneapolis.
Police say they were called to a north Minneapolis home about 7 a.m. on Saturday, and found two men injured. Witnesses said a driver had run the two of them down; 27-year-old Amecia Enge was arrested driving a damaged car nearby.
One of the victims died at North Memorial Medical Center shortly after being struck. The other was treated and later released, but died at his home on Monday. His cause of death remains under investigation by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Police say Enge and the victims got in a fight near the scene of the crash, and that Enge got in his car and ran over both victims at least twice. He faces second degree and attempted murder charges and is being held at the Hennepin County jail.
