Flood victims wait for word from feds

Residents of Minnesota's Zumbro Falls have made progress in cleaning up from September's flooding. But, that doesn't mean life has returned to normal.

Flood victims are waiting to hear if the federal government will declare the city of 200 a disaster area. If that happens, Jacqueline Bleed will know whether her heavily-damaged home can be saved, or whether she'll have to raze it. Bleed and her family are living in a camper parked on her mother-in-law's farm and are eager for an answer.

Mayor Al Vandewalker tells KARE-TV that he hopes to hear about a disaster declaration by Tuesday.

The state Legislature postponed a special session on flood relief because there's been no word from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
