Body found in Mississippi River

Police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in the Mississippi River in St. Paul.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports an employee of the St. Paul Yacht Club saw the body lodged in branches and debris Thursday afternoon.

Police say officials retrieved the body around 2:20 p.m. Police haven't released any information about the body, including approximate age and gender. The Ramsey County medical examiner's office is also investigating. ---
