Charge filed against suspect in Red Lake shootings

Federal authorities have announced a firearms charge against a man sought in the shootings of three men on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.

The FBI said Tuesday that Donald Leigh Clark, 22, of Redby, was charged Friday with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The charge stems from a shooting between two groups of men in Redby last Wednesday that left Julian Keith Demarrias, 22, dead and two other men in his vehicle wounded.

The FBI and tribal police are still searching for Clark. The FBI describes him as an American Indian, 22 years old, about 5-foot-10, weighing about 225 pounds. He was last seen in a black 1988 GMC Yukon with Red Lake license plate 19287. The FBI considers him armed and dangerous.
