A man has been sentenced to 66 years in prison for the shooting deaths of a rural northwest Minnesota couple.

Timothy Thorson, 53, is charged with second-degree murder in the killings last week of Francis Lundon, 72, and his wife, Ethyl, 71, of rural Mahnomen in September.

According to a criminal complaint, Thorson, a recovering drug addict, had been given information that drug dealers were living in the home. He allegedly intended to rob the dealers.
