2 in custody for St. Louis Park hotel homicide

Police say two men are in custody in connection with a homicide at a St. Louis Park hotel.

An employee at the Lakeland Inn found the body of a woman in her mid-30s in a room Thursday about 7 p.m. Police spokesman Jamie Zwilling says other patrons of the hotel told investigators they heard a disturbance in the room about five hours earlier. Zwilling says the woman's injuries were consistent with stabbing or slicing. Police wouldn't say whether a weapon has been recovered.

Investigators believe the victim and her attackers knew each other. Officers initially arrested three men, but later released one of them. Police say they're looking for at least two more people for questioning. The death is the second homicide in St. Louis Park this year.
