Stolen giant fiberglass steer found near Cambridge

"Blackie" the steer is coming back to its St. Paul home.

The 8-foot-tall fiberglass Angus steer was stolen from Norb Anderson last summer. Anderson says Blackie was found near Cambridge this weekend and was being picked up by the Isanti County sheriff's office Monday.

Blackie has been an annual fixture in parades at the Minnesota State Fair. The steer and its custom trailer were taken from St. Paul's Como neighborhood in early August.

Anderson, who's 76, tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press that he's "like a kid with a new toy," now that Blackie has been found.
