Police investigate St. Cloud City Hall burglary

Whoever burglarized St. Cloud City Hall over New Year's weekend must have been hungry.

Police say a few items were damaged and other items stolen. City Administrator Mike Williams says "nothing of any great significance" was taken - just food and candy from some employees' desks.

The burglary was discovered Monday morning. Williams says it's unknown how the burglar got into the downtown St. Cloud building.

Police spokesman Sgt. Martin Sayre says the thief also tried to get into a safe but failed.

No one's been arrested.
