Fargo pancake feed not aiming for world record

Organizers of an annual pancake feed in Fargo say they aren't expecting to set any records this year.

The 53rd annual Fargo Kiwanis Pancake Karnival is set for Feb. 12. Organizers of the 12-hour event expect it to produce about 30,000 pancakes for about 14,000 people.

The pancake feed once made the book of Guinness World Records. Kiwanis spokesman Craig Tait tells The Forum newspaper that the focus this year is on just putting on a good feed. Proceeds go to charity.
