Perham prep basketball player collapses on court

A high school basketball player is hospitalized in critical condition after collapsing on the court at a high school in western Minnesota.

Perham player Zach Gabbard collapsed Thursday evening during a game at Dilworth-Glydon-Felton High School. A defibrillator was used on Gabbard before he was rushed to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, N.D. where he remained in critical condition Friday.

The Forum says coaches from both schools sent their players to the locker rooms while administrators cleared fans out of the gym after Gabbard collapsed.
