Berman, a native Minnesotan who was vice president of Walter Mondale's counsel and deputy chief of staff, and the national coordinator for Mondale's presidential run. Berman is now president of the Washington, D.C., lobbying firm, The Duberstein Group. Berman has worked on every Democratic presidential campaign since 1964, and every Democratic convention since 1968.
