Mayo Clinic opens office in Ecuador

Mayo Clinic has opened an information office in Ecuador, its fourth international administrative services location.

Offices in Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador provide information about Mayo, help with scheduling an appointment and travel assistance. A fourth office in Canada is virtual. Phone messages are returned daily.

Mayo international relations consultant Emily Hiatt says the office in Mexico is the oldest and has been open for more than 10 years. The Post-Bulletin says it offers follow-up help after a patient returns from Mayo to Mexico.
