China acquires technology in Cirrus deal

Pending approval by the Chinese and U.S. governments, Duluth's Cirrus Aircraft expects to have a new China-based owner by the middle of the year. Cirrus announced the sale yesterday, but it didn't disclose the details. The buyer is the China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Company.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Derek Scissors, an economist at the conservative Heritage Foundation who's been tracking China's overseas business investments since 2005, about why China would want to buy Cirrus.
