Prosecutor: No charges in Hecker jail marriage

Hennepin County prosecutors say no charges will be filed in jailed auto mogul Denny Hecker's over-the-phone marriage.

Hecker was in the Sherburne County Jail at the time, so he married girlfriend Christi Rowan over the phone last month. She was at a church in Maple Grove.

The Hennepin County Attorney's office was investigating to see if any laws were broken. KSTP-TV reports the matter will now go to the Maple Grove Police Department for review.

Rowan was arrested the day after the wedding and is now also in the Sherburne County Jail. She was supposed to be sentenced last week for her role in helping Hecker hide assets from bankruptcy creditors. But after her arrest a judge rejected her plea deal and postponed sentencing.
