Gunshots fired in Moorhead road rage incident

Police in Moorhead say a road rage incident has ended with gunfire.

Authorities say some type of exchange involving driving conduct happened between the male occupants of two vehicles Wednesday about 9:30 p.m. Both vehicles stopped and a physical fight started between at least two men.

Both vehicles then drove away with one following the other. Sgt. Deric Swenson says the two vehicles ended up at Regal Estates trailer park about two to three miles away.

Police say one of the men then got out of his vehicle and began firing a handgun as he walked toward the other vehicle. Lt. Tory Jacobson says at least one gunshot struck the other vehicle and at least one shot hit an occupied residence - but no one was hurt.

Jacobson says investigators are still in the process of interviewing those involved.
