Mankato Brewery targets Sept. for first beer

Mankato Brewery has acquired a building that once housed a beer distribution company and hopes to begin producing beer by September.

Company CEO Tim Tupy says the North Mankato building doesn't need renovations that other locations might require. He says it has a walk-in cooler and drains that run the length of the building.

Mankato Brewery will make three 'flagship' beer brands, with others to follow. The Free Press says (http://bit.ly/ihDpxN ) the brewing company could be selling beer by late September or October.
