1 Officials in 20 Minnesota counties are now using an electronic criminal complaint system called eCharging to move the state's judicial system toward a paperless future. This Friday, April 29, 2011, photograph was taken during a tour of one of two storage rooms in the Clay County courthouse basement.

3 Wes Moechnig pets some of the cows as he thinks about what his first deployment will be like. Moechnig, 22, is a dairy farmer who lives with his parents on their dairy farm near Lake City. He is also an infantryman for the Minnesota National Guard and will be among the approximately 2,400 Red Bull soldiers who are preparing for a year-long deployment to Kuwait this summer.

"Honestly I'm conflicted over what I should feel," said Abdelwahab. "I'm happy that we've served justice. But I'm also scared for the future." 
5 Charlie, a Quarter Horse, relaxes as animal chiropractor Kyla Awes adjusts her spine. "You do need more force on an adult horse than, say, a human," says Awes. "But how you get that is with the speed of your movement -- because force is equal to mass times acceleration. That means that the adjustments are very quick, and I'm effective without having to be aggressive. This makes the adjustments more gentle for the horse."
