Missing Canadian teen turns up in Duluth
A missing teen from Canada has been on quite a journey.
After taking shelter in a parked freight train in Manitoba, the 16-year-old girl ended up the next day in Duluth. Canadian National called Duluth police after spotting the girl in the Steelton Railroad Yard May 17.
Police say the girl told them she ran away from her home in Steinbach, Manitoba. The U.S. Border Patrol took custody of the girl and took her to Minneapolis, then to New York and the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
The News Tribune says the girl's parents picked her up in New York.
