Microsoft Corp. marks 10 years at Fargo campus

The Fargo campus of Microsoft Corp. is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.

The company has scheduled a reception Tuesday afternoon for local business leaders and elected officials. Company officials say about 200 people are scheduled to attend.

Microsoft Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner plans to attend, along with North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple and U.S. Rep. Rick Berg.

Microsoft acquired Great Plains Software in 2001 and began producing business and financial software for small- and medium-sized companies.

The Fargo campus has about 950 employees, not including vendors.
