Vikings to delay decision on training camp

The Minnesota Vikings say they are going to delay their decision about training camp in Mankato while NFL owners and players work on a new collective bargaining agreement.

The Vikings originally set Monday as the day they had to have a deal in place in order to hold training camp at the Minnesota State University, Mankato. But with both sides apparently closing in on a deal, the Vikings say they will hold off for now and remain hopeful to have camp in Mankato.

The university says it is ready to host the Vikings. The residence halls have been prepared for the players. Myers Fieldhouse is ready for training sessions and the fields are set for practice.

A school spokesman says they are just waiting to hear from the Vikings.
