Getting to the U2 concert; gates open at 6 a.m.
General admission ticket-holders to Saturday evening's U2 concert can line up beginning at 6 a.m. at The University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium.
Gates open for general admission at 4:30 p.m. About 60-thousand people are expected.
The university has hired some extra staff for the event, said Scott Ellison, athletic director for facilities.
"All these people coming into the stadium are new. Typically they haven't been in here for a gopher football game. so we have additional ushers to help them find their seats," Ellison said. "It's a little bit more customer-friendly for them.

"And we will have people trying to keep people that do show up to watch the show outside the stadium away from the stadium as best as we can."
MPR News meteorologist Paul Huttner said there could be severe weather tomorrow night. In the case of a thunderstorm, people will be evacuated out of the open-air portions of the stadium and into the concourses, or nearby arenas.

Ellison advises concert-goers to use public transportation to get to the show; those options are laid out at gophersports.com. No alcohol will be allowed at the event, and security will check bags as people enter.
University officials advise those without tickets to the concert to avoid the congested area. Contractors doing road construction work in the area have been asked to temporarily scale back.
"We're encouraging people not to drive to a lot around the stadium and hunt for parking. Plan your trip," Ellison said.
